PAWS Meeting Framework
Structure every meeting with a clear Purpose, Agenda, Who, and Success.
PAWS is a lightweight check that makes a meeting worth holding before you ever send the invite. Every meeting earns a clear Purpose (why we are meeting at all), an Agenda (the key items, shared in advance so people can prepare), the right Who (the people who need to be in the room — no optionals, with decision roles named), and a Success (a clear view of the outcome the meeting must produce).
Most bad meetings fail on Purpose and Success: they have a topic but no reason and no defined outcome, so they drift and end with "let us pick this up next week." Writing P, A, W and S onto the invite forces you to decide whether the meeting should exist at all — and gives everyone attending a shared contract for what a good use of the hour looks like.
