Privacy policy

Connective Shift is an independent publisher of original podcasts and written research, operated by Dan Walter. This policy covers connectiveshift.com and the tools behind it.

YouTube API Services

This site uses YouTube API Services to publish our own videos to our own YouTube channels and to read performance statistics for those videos. By using features that rely on it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

We access only YouTube channels we own. We upload videos, captions and metadata to them and read view counts, watch time and traffic sources for those uploads. We do not access, collect or store any other user's YouTube data, we do not use YouTube data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

We store video IDs, video URLs and the metadata we submitted as a publication record for as long as the video is published. Aggregate performance statistics are cached for no more than 30 days. You can revoke this application's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and you can email podcast@connectiveshift.com to have stored YouTube-derived data deleted within 30 days.

What we collect

If you only read or listen we collect no account information, just aggregate non-identifying usage. If you create an account we store your email address and the content you create. We do not sell personal data.
